Aydın
Dilek Peninsula–Büyük Menderes Delta National Park lies in the Kuşadası and Söke districts of Aydın province, on the Aegean coast. The peninsula became a national park in 1966, and the Büyük Menderes delta was added in 1994. Together they cover 27,598 hectares. The main gate is at the edge of Güzelçamlı, about 25 km from Kuşadası.
Past the gate, the road leads to the public coves of İçmeler, Aydınlık, Kavaklıburun and Karasu. The highest point, Dilek Tepesi, rises to 1,237 m. Mediterranean monk seals live along this coast, wild boar are common in the woods, and the delta is a bird area with pelicans and pygmy cormorants. Zeus Cave, a small pool of clear spring water in the rock, is just before the gate on the road from Güzelçamlı.
Dolmuş minibuses marked "Milli Park" run from Kuşadası to Güzelçamlı. Check current opening hours and entry rules before you go.
