Uzungöl is a lake in the Çaykara district of Trabzon Province, about 95 km south-east of Trabzon city centre. It formed when rocks falling from the slopes blocked the Haldizen stream. The lake is about 1,000 m long, 500 m wide and up to 15 m deep. A village of the same name lines its shore.
The lake belongs to Uzungöl Nature Park, declared in 1989, and is a Special Environmental Protection Area. Walking trails follow the shore. The village of Şerah lies close to the lake. Higher up are about a dozen summer pasture settlements (yayla); the nearest are Karester and Lustra.
From Trabzon, take the coast road to Of, then the D915 inland along the Solaklı valley towards Çaykara. Uzungöl is 19 km from Çaykara town. Fog sometimes covers the lake at night. Summer is the busiest season, and the village has many hotels.
